Things I like: The Sanctuary Mum To Be 2 in 1 Moisturising Shower Cream

When I discovered I was pregnant, I may have got a bit paranoid. OK, I definitely got a bit paranoid. First among the precautions was packing away any products with essential oils in as well as any products which might possibly have had essential oils in. Just in case.

It’s not quite as mad as it looks, as there’s certain oils which are definitely not recommended during pregnancy – although finding out which is which isn’t as easy as it sounds. So out they all went, even if they’ve probably been no nearer an essential oil than a marketing person’s optimistic write-up.

And in came The Sanctuary Mum To Be 2 in 1 Moisturising Shower Cream, £6.50. With organic rosehip and sunflower oils, plus oat extract, it’s lovely and creamy for my suddenly much drier skin, and it’s midwife approved, so I didn’t have to fret about whether rosehips are safe or not. It’s also got a very subtle scent which is useful during the first few months and morning sickness.

It’s hardly the cheapest around but I’ve become adept at spotting the 3 for 2 offers around, and a tiny bit really does seem to go a long way.
