Things I like: Mama Mio Lucky Legs cooling serum

People kept raving about it – so maybe I should just have paid attention earlier. But discovering Mama Mio Lucky Legs cooling serum came just in time, as I headed to the sunshine of the Azores with plenty of wandering along cobbled streets, and up and down hills.

Throw in the usual puffed up plane reaction and by the end of each day, my legs needed some serious TLC. Luckily, the Mama Mio Pregnancy Essentials I’d been sent by the PRs were all perfectly travel sized, so I’d popped the serum in to test while I was away.

The mix of (safe) essential oils includes refreshing spearmint, cooling menthol for aching muscles, de-puffing chamomile and moisturising aloe vera among others, as well as a lovely hint of lemony – one of the more unexpected bonuses was that the gorgeous scents briefly helped me breathe more easily despite having a hacking cough.

And while the throat-soothing properties aren’t the reason to buy it, it does what it says on the tin, er bottle, and instantly cools your legs in an enjoyably tingly fashion.

The serum costs £16.50 for 100ml, while the Pregnancy Essentials kit costs £26 including a 30ml bottle, plus the same size Tummy Rub Butter and Boob Tube.

  1. I LOVED MammaMio TummyRub – that smell will forever be a happy bumpy memory…

    • Is a lovely smell – have mainly been using oils, as the creams haven’t always been enough, but definitely a bit converted by that.
